Former MD Anderson postdoctoral researcher Li Yunhai was found guilty of theft of trade secrets after attempting to take federally funded breast cancer research to China. Li stored confidential MD Anderson data on personal devices, Google Drive, and Baidu SkyDisk, and was detained at Houston's airport in July 2025 while attempting to fly to China with the data.
