Unknown threat actors compromised the CPUID website (cpuid.com) for less than 24 hours between April 9-10 to distribute trojanized versions of popular hardware monitoring tools (CPU-Z, HWMonitor) that deployed the STX RAT remote access trojan to users who downloaded the software during that period.
